Rachel Cameron, PT, DPT

Her experience in physcial therapy includes manual therapy, orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation and women’s health therapy.

In addition to her primary focus of practice, Rachel has undergone advanced training in  Myofascial Release (MFR) and Women’s Health/pelvic floor therapy techniques. With her training, she has become efficient in treatment of both acute and chronic pain and uses a “whole-body” treatment approach. In regards to women’s health/pelvic floor therapy, she treats women with urinary incontinence or pain, painful intercourse/penetration, complications due to diastasis recti and scar tissue due to episiotomy,  c-section, or hysterectomy. Her greatest passion in recent years has become assessment and treatment of patients in the post-partum period.

Rachel continues to advance her skills and training in use of Myofascial Release and Women’s Health/pelvic floor therapy with plans to specifically progress training and education in lymphedema management. Rachel feels passionate about looking and treating her patients as a “whole” person and not just treating the primary area of complaint. She wants her patients to avoid more invasive procedures to assist in pain reduction and dysfunction and she knows that looking at the “big picture” is crucial in this process.
